There has been very little happening here at the MetalPhoto blog, but that is about to change as my workload has changed and I have more time to spare. Naturally there will be a lot of nature coming as well in addition to everything else that’ll be photographed and published.
To get going I’ll give you a nice little longwing butterfly shot just the other day, please enjoy and make sure to come back often to check for more great images as the blog from now on will become a lot more active. This is quite possibly the most versatile photo blog around.
Two weeks ago we finally got some warmth and blue skies, that lasted for a weekend and then it went back to being cold and mostly cloudy. There has even been snowfall a couple of times since then. I do believe the weather Gods are amusing themselves on our behalf.
Hopefully it’ll soon turn around and the warmth will come. Then I can at last get a little better in my joints and get going with showering you with great pictures. At least I got a shot of a colts foot with a flower fly on top of it that weekend a fortnight ago.
The season of fluttering small wings is over for this time, now there will be many cold months without these little miracles that butterflies are will return. There are loads of images in my “tiny” archive of them so I can let you enjoy summer every now and then until the next warm period when the common blue butterfly and others will once again joyfully enrichen nature.
This year there have been lots of nature shots taken, I had to devote my attention to something when there were no concerts or other events to shoot. Among other things I have been seen hovering low just like this little fly go get close up to nature’s winged little miracles.
For her second session ever with a real camera my student went out on her own in the woods and among other shots came back with these two slugs surrounding their coming offspring. She’s doing quite well, I might even employ her as my assistant in the future.
